Within the institute, the Migration Group consists of a team of international migration specialists, researchers, and academics that work on building migration policy through research and capacity development. The migration group not only engages in applied and fundamental research to bridge policy and practice but is also highly engaged in education, capacity development, and training. Our team of tutors, trainers and professors cover a wide range of expertise in the field of migration with an extensive geographical scope.
Our Approach
We are specialized in providing tailor-made capacity building and training programs in the field of migration. Our training methodology encourages learning and capacity building through a variety of methods, including lectures, discussions, problem-based learning, exercises, short in-class assignments and case studies. Over the course of the training, participants receive a mix of lecture and applied activities that allow them to practice the skills and concepts addressed.
The format of our capacity building programs is designed to address the needs of the organization(s) and context where they are delivered.
